I went back and read last year's goals. I wanted to learn a new instrument and I did! I bought a ukelele and I can play it pretty well. I'm not a pro and I've only really memorized a few chords and a few songs, but, you know, I couldn't play the violin like a boss after the first year either. I also wanted to read more. I think I did. I didn't really record them all, but I know I read a lot of really great books this past year. I might have even read my newest favorite. I also wanted to finish my NaNoWriMo story and I did! Oddly, it took about ten months to complete, yet I wrote most of it in one month. I get really nit-picky about things and go back and change entire sections, something I couldn't allow myself to do during the month of November 2010. I also wanted to get fitter and talk more, but fitness is the best in the summer months and talking more is just a thing. I will never be a social butterfly. However, I did spend a lot of time with friends, and that's the most important part.
This year...I HAVE NO IDEA. I guess I have a few goals in mind, but nothing outstanding. I might travel more. I might blog more. I might write more. I might read more. I got a camera for Christmas and I want to take more pictures and videos. I would like to quit my job, but only for logical purposes. It's a nice, stable, fine paying job. I like the people and the location. If I could find better though, that would be a nice twist. I would like to be less lazy. These are all really general plans.
Last year, I had LeakyCon to look forward to and it was mostly all about that, pre-LC and post-LC. This year, I don't really know what I'm doing for certain. I'll mostly wing it and plan spontaneously. But if it's the end of the world, I should make each spontaneous plan a great one.
I have so many blogs to catch up on in my Google Reader, that should really be my first plan of action. HAPPY 2012, Y'ALL!
Happy 2012! :)
ReplyDeleteI hope that you have a fantastic year, and I hope that WE MEET AT LAST. Meeting as many Cats as possible is definitely one of my goals this year.
